Doctopus

Google Sheets Add-On
Doctopus gives teachers the ability to mass-copy (from a starter template), share, monitor student progress, and manage grading and feedback for student projects in Google Drive.

Its tentacles copy and "hand out" Drive files to a roster of students, giving teachers full control over starter template, sharing configuration, folder organization and file naming, as well as visibility over all work in progress -- including the ability to bulk revoke and revert student editing rights around submission deadlines, as well the ability to fetch word, revision, and comment counts on all student files.

Dictation: Voice Recognition


Type with your voice. Use Google Chrome as a voice recognition app and type long documents, emails and school essays without touching the keyboard.

The app is integrated with Dropbox and Google Drive to help you easily export you transcribed text to your various online accounts. Alternatively, your can send the dictated text to any email address.

HSTRY

HSTRY is a multimedia timeline creation tool which can be embed into a blog or website. This makes it easier for students to share timelines in a digital portfolio or for teachers to share timelines with students. For a timeline to be embedded it must first be made public. 

Some features of HSTRY:

Smithsonian X 3D


Smithsonian X 3D presents a variety of 3D collections. The objects are viewed in the sophisticated Explorer browser that allows incredible opportunities to manipulate, measure, adjust color and light and draw on images. Users may also take hotspot tours.
The website also includes resources for teachers in K-12 classrooms. The are continuing to create ways to support STEM education. In some instances students will be able to print models of museum objects or inventions.
