Story Builder

Google Story Builder is a fun Google tool that will get your students developing their basic writing skills.
You don’t need a Google account to participate and younger students can easily navigate through the Google Story Builder steps.
Once the students have finished writing their story, they can add music and watch the animated video of their writing experience.

Tour Builder

What is Tour Builder?

Tour Builder is a new way to show people the places you've visited and the experiences you had along the way using Google Earth. It lets you pick the locations right on the map, add in photos, text, and video, and then share your creation.

What inspired the creation of Tour Builder?

We originally created Tour Builder to give veterans a way to record all the places that military service has taken them, and preserve their stories and memories as a legacy for their families. But we also thought it could be a useful tool for anyone with a story to tell, so we made it available to everyone.

Smarty Pins

Smarty Pins is a geography game built by Google utilizing Google Maps.

From the website:
You know that Liverpool is the birthplace of The Beatles (or do you?), but could you locate it on a map? To encourage more people to interact with Google Maps, we created Smarty Pins, a fun and interactive game that tests players’ trivia and geography knowledge. Players can choose from six different categories from arts and culture to sports to entertainment and answer questions by dragging the pin to the correct location on the map. Players begin with 1,000 miles, earning more for quick and/or correct answers while losing miles for inaccuracy. The game currently covers the U.S., U.K., Australian and Canadian geography.
